Today, I made a great seasonal yogurt parfait for kids, and it was so easy! Finding something both of the boys will eat is always a struggle, so I wasn’t sure how this would go. I was hopeful, because the boys do really enjoy yogurt.
When lunchtime came and went without any enthusiastic ideas, I decided to try something new for the kids. I pulled out a couple kids cups (I find they are just the right size for this type of thing) to mix my creation in.
What I used:
- ~1 cup Vanilla yogurt
- ~1 tablespoon PB2
- Granola topping, any variety (we used Kashi)
- Sprinkles as desired
Voila! Easy yogurt parfait for kids!
I used chocolate PB2, but honestly, any flavored protein powder would work, or you could even skip this part. The sprinkles created some added excitement for the boys, albeit no nutritional benefit. But I think the rest of the snack was nutritious enough.
The best part? It only took a minute to get all the ingredients together for this yogurt parfait.
The boys couldn’t even wait until they were at the table to eat it, they started right there on the kitchen floor. And they ate ALL of it! That’s not a common occurrence these days. (As I’m sure most parents can relate.)
This looks delicious. My kids love yogurt and with all of the mix-ins here, this will be a definite hit. I know what we will be making this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
Yummy! I love PB2! It’s so tasty!
Looks like they really enjoyed it 🙂 My son enjoys drinkable yogurt and crackers for his usual snack. But right now he’s begging for m&ms. LOL
Can’t wait until Halloween is over and all the candy is out of the house so we can get back to healthy snacking. This looks like a great place to start. Thanks for sharing.
Yogurt Parfaits are awesome snacks! Our family uses Stonyfield quite a bit ourselves
We eat a lot of yogurt in our house. I use in saldad dressings, toppings for potatoes, and desserts. Love parfaits!
Yogurt and granola is one of my favorite snacks! I normally do soy yogurt since I’m not a fan of regular but this definitely looks like something I want to try
Totally laughing at your little guys eating right on the floor! Because mine do that too! LOL.
What a great parfait treat! I will have make these for mine.
This looks really good. I run a daycare, I might have to try this with them. Thanks for posting it.
Not sure if my son likes parfait yet but I’m going to give this a try.

I love your creative recipe. I would add mashed bananas or some kind of fruit too. Sounds great.
When my kids were young they had all kinds of snacks , from candy to carrot and celery sticks.
